This paper presents a metamaterial-based flexible wearable ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna for breast imaging and wireless body area network (WBAN) applications. The is required to be planar low-profile structure using materials. proposed comprises two layers of denim (10 × 10 mm2) felt 15 mm2). was integrated with six metamaterial unit cells modified grain rice shape within split ring resonator enhance the bandwidth, gain, directivity reduce specific absorption rate value less than 2 W/kg. operates broad bandwidth range (6.5 GHz–35 GHz) maximum gain 8.85 dBi dBi, respectively, radiation efficiency more 70% over its operating frequency band. results verified good agreement between simulation measurement technique in detecting an existing tumor diameter 4 mm from any location inside breast. convincingly proved capability UWB system both WBAN
